Side Street//2013 Renovation

Hey… guys…

(Insert Excuse here.) (Insert groveling, crying, and pulling of hair here.) (Insert promises to do better here.) It’s been about 1 year and 6 months since my last update and man… life has changed drastically for this gal.

Let me fill you in.

Despite the weird, perplexed looks I receive when stating the following aloud, I have often described New Jersey as my spouse. Someone that my parents forced me to marry at a young age and convinced me that I would “learn to love” in the passing years. He’s boring. He’s safe. He makes me feel… in a word… lifeless. Then there is New York. My lover. He’s interesting. Cultured yet gritty. Loud yet glorious. He shows me a great time and provides me with great entertainment and never allows me to feel alone. He’s too much at times… but with New York life is full.

In December 2011, I was offered a job and in July 2012, I divorced New Jersey and came to be with New York. Since the age of 5, I have dreamed of living and working in Manhattan. It was gratifying to cross it off my bucket list. But with the new job and surroundings, I felt overwhelmed to continue this blog with only reviewing restaurants. With the advice and support of many friends, I revamped the look and have decided it would be a blog dedicated to my “after college life” in my most favorite city. Of course, food will still be a major focus.

i would like to take the time to thank Matthew Colf, my web host, IT wizard, and website extraordinaire for all his advice and help. I would also like to thank, Hailli Ridsdale, for helping me design the new logo.

2013′s motto: Rock it. Wooooooooooo!!!
